Ag-West Bio Inc. works to build Saskatchewan’s bio-based economy. We promote entrepreneurship and the commercialization of innovative biotechnology developed in the province. We recognize that commercialization of technology, and supporting the entrepreneurial development necessary to do so, are vital to Saskatchewan’s economic development.
Ag-West Bio is a proud supporter of The Raj Manek Business Mentorship Program and its firm focus on building small business. The Mentorship Program allows Ag-West to offer business mentorship as a service to our bio-entrepreneur clients. In return, we offer experienced business mentors to the Program from our network of industry stakeholders.
Ag-West Bio encourages its clients to become Protégés and use the Business Mentorship Program as a valuable component in developing skills needed for a successful business. We work with Protégés to identify specific goals to attain milestones in their technology commercialization plan.
Ag-West also supports the annual banquet and other Raj Manek events. We recognize that these events provide important networking and knowledge transfer opportunities that are so important in the development of a business. The Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority (SREDA) Inc. recognizes that the success of new business ventures will directly influence the diversification and development of business in the Saskatoon Region. That is why SREDA has become a Supporter of the Raj Manek Mentorship Program and has introduced a new Entrepreneur Investor Program in partnership with the Raj Manek Mentorship Program. The program is an extension of SREDA’s very successful Private Sector Investor Program, which allows businesses to invest in activities promoting economic development in the Saskatoon region.
The Entrepreneur Investor Program is currently exclusive to protégés of the Raj Manek Mentorship Program, a program that provides one-on-one mentoring by experienced business owners and senior executives who have owned or managed a business. These protégés will be invited to Private Sector Investor events and networking opportunities that SREDA hosts throughout the year, a company listing on SREDA’s website, as well as many other opportunities.
