About Raj Manek

Raj Manek had many accomplishments in the business community, none more significant than encouraging young Saskatchewan people to pursue entrepreneurship and later mentoring them throughout their endeavors.

Raj came to Saskatoon in 1979 and served as the Regional Director with the Saskatchewan Department of Economic Development.  He devoted his professional career and significant volunteer efforts to the cause of economic development in Saskatchewan.

Raj's legacy is:

• Working with the College of Commerce as an advisor to the Business Consulting Program.
• Lecturing in the University's Business Administration Certificate Program.
• Advisory Board Member of Center for International Business Studies and the U of S Chapter of AIESEC.
• Contributing to the University's international projects in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
• Participating in a joint mission to help establish a Business Development Center in Ukraine.
• Volunteering his time in taking companies to India to establish trading contacts.
